Rubix has assembled individuals with experience building in-house marketing teams and working at full-service agencies. Our backgrounds give us the know-how to help clients navigate and scale in today’s competitive performance marketing landscape. Some of the challenges are marketing-based, while others revolve around improving UI/UX or design issues. Our blended business model consists of wholly-owned in-house brands and software products, plus agency services that combine to work as one functional and multi-faceted team. 

Developing culture as a fully remote agency is difficult, but with active Slack-channels, weekly trivia stand-ups and shared Spotify playlists, we’re making it happen. At Rubix, we work hard to build systems and processes that make us one part agency and one part incubator. Here, creative means anything from robust data analysis to asset ideation through guidance on creative that will live on multiple channels.

The Position: Affiliate and Partnerships Manager

The Rubix Affiliate and Partnerships manager will be responsible for the success of key client accounts led by the Account Strategy and Management Team. You will be a subject matter expert for affiliate marketing, oversee media partnerships for media buying (sponsored content, affiliate marketing, newsletters, podcasts) as well as manage client relationships. You will efficiently analyze and strategize for new partnerships to scale traffic and revenue for our clients. 

The Affiliate and Partnerships Manager is a new role at Rubix due to our rapidly growing team and client base. This person must be focused, energetic, efficient, and agile. They are highly organized with excellent communication skills, able to build relationships, and draw on both existing affiliate experience as well as the expertise of Rubix Agency’s resources. This position is crucial to the success of the agency - we’re eager for this next team member to help us deliver industry-leading results.


About You :

  •  3+ years of industry experience. Digital marketing experience managing “the making” or delivery of great work in the affiliate space, with retail and/or D2C experience a bonus
  • Highly motivated, incredibly resourceful, and confident in a fast-paced and remote environment
  • Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects at the same time; meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in managing affiliate programs in key platforms - an ability to get things done efficiently and effectively
  • An understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to the client’s business and a business growth mindset
  • Leadership mentality, owning and encouraging strong internal relationships
  • Accountability and calm, confident presence. Must be able to listen, learn, and add value
  • Applies the company’s ideals to all decision-making business approaches. You must be positive, a proactive team-player, and have a go get ’em attitude 
  • Agency experience beneficial


The Role:

This role requires the ideal applicant to: 

  • Directly contribute to strategy, forecasting, and execution of our affiliate marketing channel to meet/exceed aggressive growth targets (ROI, GMV, EPC, scaling customers) to include:
  • Media negotiation and buying
  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Coordination and pitching for specific promotions
  • Oversee tracking and reporting 
  • Comfort level presenting all of the above internally and client-facing
  • Establish, and scale affiliate strategies for our core clients while delivering on acquisition KPIs 
  • Maintain strong publisher relationships and own media negotiations and buying across multiple vendors while sourcing and vetting new opportunities for our clients
  • Develop strategic, large-scale partnerships with key publishers 
  • Own and report on all channel specific metrics and proactively address metric shifts with strategy recommendations
  • Set a high-standard for constant iteration + improvement through testing and innovation
  • Optimize customer flows between publisher and client products to improve CVR
  • Collaborate with internal performance managers, clients, and external PR teams to scale strategic affiliate partnerships in key segments
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for continued growth across the affiliate and sponsored content channels
  • Be an instrumental part of Rubix creating a best-in-class affiliate marketing program at scale

Our Work Tooling Tech:

Google Suite, Lastpass, ClickUp, Slack, and Zoom. Affiliate platforms are Impact, ShareASale, and occasionally CJ.


The Team:

Rubix is split into 7 departments: 

  1. Performance Marketing: Manages the paid digital spend for all projects/clients. 
  2. Design: From onsite UX and visual design, high fidelity email design and high-performance social assets, our design team can do it all. 
  3. Account Strategy and Management: From client management, to affiliate and influencer marketing, and even direct mail, this team is very diverse and key to our success. This position falls into the ASM team. 
  4. Development: If you can dream it, they can build it. We have a competent full stack team in house. We primarily focus on Javascript and python.
  5. SEO & Content: Search engine optimization and content marketing. 
  6. Data Science: Reports all data in all channels. Our capable data scientists deliver accurate, timely information for every client and every channel. They strive to find new and engaging ways to devise actionable insights into all aspects of marketing spend and analysis. 
  7. Finance: Counts the beans and keeps us in compliance.
